Protect Yourself This Flu Season - Book Your Flu Vaccination Today

With flu season upon us, getting your annual influenza vaccination remains the most important way to protect yourself and your loved ones from the flu and its complications.

Paddington Medical Centre currently offers both State Government vaccines and vaccines for those aged 65 and over, including FluMist - a nasal spray flu vaccine suitable for children aged 2 to 17. This year, there are two vaccination programs running simultaneously:

Federal Government National Immunisation Program (NIP)

The flu vaccine is free under the NIP for:

• People aged 65 years and over

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

• Pregnant women

• People with chronic medical conditions such as severe asthma, lung or heart disease, weakened immunity, or diabetes

• Children aged 6 months to under 5 years

Queensland State Government Free Vaccine Program

The Queensland Government provides free flu vaccines for any Queensland resident who does not qualify under the Federal Government NIP criteria.
